I want to stop firefox suggesting a username once I start typing for a certain website, as this is as bad a automatically remembering it if someone else uses my computer.
I have now learned how to stop firefox remembering passwords. However, when I go to websites I have visited before, as soon as I type a letter or two of my user name, it gives 'suggestions' based on ones I have used before. If someone else took my computer and tried to access this site, this feature would essentially give them my user name! How can I turn this feature off?

Turn off Form and Search History on the Privacy tab in Options.
You know, you should have a "guest" logon user account set up in Windows for other people to use. That would keep other people from being able to access anything in you user account, including your personal data in Firefox.
That only disables save from data.
You need to remove entries that are already stored.
Otherwise they reappear if you enable save form data.

I want to disable form history only. Is there some way of hacking Firefox so it will not save form history? The 'preferences' now enable one only to prevent saving ALL history; I only want to stop form history, as earlier versions allowed.
