Custom FireBreath plugin modal window hidding
Hi,
we created a plugin for firefox using FireBreath framework - usable only on windows platforms. In our plugin we exposed some Javascript methods, which are callable from firefox. One of those methods creates instance of COM object with GUI as modal dialog. The problem is that dialog appears behind the firefox window, so when the firefox is in full window, user does not see the custom dialog created by plugin unless pressing alt+tab to switch windows. In firefox version 3.6.3 this works great. In version 4 and 5 the modal dialog shows behind the main firefox window. Tried with google chrome and opera (both accept the same firebreath plugin) and it works - the dialog is always as modal and shows in front of browser. I know this is a uncommon solution, but I need the behavior like activex in internet explorer. Is there any chance to show the modal dialog in front of firefox (series 4 and 5) like in other browsers (chrome, opera, internet explorer)? Many thanks for any response.

Solved....just turn off plugin proxy in about:config for all plugins, or create a separate js file for one plugin a turn off the plugin proxy for that plugin.
What is the exact choice item in about:config to turn off plugin proxy ?? tks !!

dom.ipc.plugins.enabled turns on/off for all plugins....or can create your custom key like dom.ipc.plugins.xxx.dll to turn on/off this feature.
