Do you mean IE8? Windows 8 has not been released.

You can use the current version, Firefox 5.0.1. Look at the system requirements carefully to be sure you have what is necessary, especially Pentium 4 processor and enough RAM since many XP systems came with only 256MB. Right-click on the "My Computer" icon on your Desktop and choose Properties for basic information about your system in the "General" tab.

I meant IE 8. I'm faced with the problem that I can't upgrade to IE 9 without going to Windows 7. I'm using xp so I'd have to purchase Windows 7 so I'm thinking Firefox is looking good right about now.
