I can't put an IP address or web address in Firfox 6.01. location bar since upgrade

I press enter and it takes me to Google search results same with web pages (Example to program your router or any remote access) Can't use about:config in location bar to modify. Start Firefox in Diagnose Firefox issues using Troubleshoot Mode to check if one of the extensions is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox (Tools) > Add-ons > Appearance/Themes).
