My password has somehow got saved in Firefox memory. Therefore I was remaining permanently signed in. This made it unsafe. I have changed my password but the old password still remains all the time and every time I sign in I have to delete the old one and punch new one. How to remove old pass word from Firefox memory?

Thanks a million. It worked. Firefox>tools>options>security>saved pass words then followed instructions and deleted the saved password.
