I had the home page with the nice, big Google search box and the 'restore previous session' button. Tried to download a calculator and got a home page with bing and msn crap. Tried a few things and now have a home page with Google search, smaller, a lot of feather crap in the header I have no use for and no restore button.

You can leave the home page setting empty to make Firefox use the build-in about:home home page.
