Why do browser update so often? Do they realize that some websites are 4 or 5 versions behind the current? I cannot open the fafsa website because my version of firefox is 5 versions too new! How many versions of a browser must I download to be able to access everything?!?

You can install the portable Firefox 3.6.x version to access websites that do not work with Firefox 5+.

FAFSA is specifically blocking newer versions of Firefox. Some users have reportedly changed the User Agent of a newer version of Firefox to the UA of Firefox 3.6 to fool the FAFSA website, and have said that the newer version did work. As to how well it worked, and if everything worked, who knows??
