Usually wait 10-15 seconds or go to Task Manager and close the process. I'm running Windows 7 Enterprise. I'm running version 7.0.1

Only 10-15 seconds -- are you complaining or bragging how fast your computer is.

If you want to bring Firefox down and immediately restart install the following extension, you'll like it, you can install it and use it immediately, its one of the new Jet Pilot extensions. Invoke the restart from the File menu or Ctrl+Alt+R, leave the room and return with a snack or take a shower -- like on automatic pilot.
