Corrected: HANGING. Problem Solved.

Uninstalled, reinstalled FF8, to no avail.

Firefox 8, WinXP SP2 updated, all plug-ins functional. Chrome runs fine; all scans come clean. CONFIRMED.

But Firefox won't load (it's there in TaskManager consuming 1,000,000+ Kb, hanging...) totally useless.

(btw: those gre script utils have been a persistent problem, hanging, for almost a year.) What's the fix? What needs to get deleted from Profiles? Or elsewhere?

o.k. it was a "hanging" issue. I went into the Profile and deleted about 85 numbered copies of sessionstore.js, the last of which was quite large.

Firefox is running @ 85k now, normal speed.
