My App Tab turns into a regular tab if all tabs are closed and I click "Home".
If I close all tabs in Firefox (leaving only my "app tabs") and then click "Home", my last app tab becomes my first home page tab. It remains showing as an app tab but it's not the one I pinned there.
Unless I revert the tab history back to the original URL, the app tab will change to the first homepage tab upon the next opening of firefox. I am currently on firefox 8.0.

Did you set that App tab as a home page ?
You can try to update the Firefox 9.0.1 via Help > About
You can find the latest Firefox release here:
- Firefox 9.0.x: http://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/all.html
No, my home pages (3 tabs) remain the same, but the app tab opens the same URL as the first home page tab. Try this:
- 1) Pin an open tab as an app tab, but make sure it is not the same as your first home page tab.
- 2) Close all tabs.
- 3) Click the Home button or press Alt+Home Key.
Then watch the app tab and see if your first home page opens as a new tab or in the app tab.

Firefox should open a new tab if you click the Home button with an App tab selected.
Start Firefox in Diagnose Firefox issues using Troubleshoot Mode to check if one of the extensions or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox (Tools) > Add-ons > Appearance/Themes).
- Don't make any changes on the Safe mode start window.

Opening in Safe Mode and back had no effect, but I played with the Tab Mix Options and got it to stop loading the first home page tab in the app tab, however, it still does if I use the Alt+[home] shortcut.
