Are you also missing the tooltip if you hover a toolbar button or the favicon on the location bar? Did you try to start in Safe mode without making any modifications?<br /> Did you try to disable hardware acceleration? ---- You can try a clean (re)install and delete the Firefox program folder (C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox\). Download a fresh Firefox copy and save the file to the desktop. *Firefox 9.0.x: http://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/all.html Uninstall your current Firefox version, if possible. *Do NOT remove personal data when you uninstall the current version or you lose your bookmarks and other data in the profile folder. Hello, thank you for your reply! I had no tooltip at all anywhere. Disabling hardware acceleration did the trick. But is that the best solution. Won't I loose significant functionality? EDIT: I tried a clean re-install, no luck.
