Firefox not loading words, pictures and websites properly. Yahoo.com missing some of the little square icons along the left and all of the sentences are boxed and highlighted. Ebay.com toolbar is all condensed and on the left and pictures are weird. Blogspot.com blogs wording is condensed and most of the titles, pictures, or words have the little x wrench screwdriver error message. Sorry very computer illiterate. Someone please help. Many thanks. Allison

Hi allison,

Have you looked at the Fix problems that cause images to not show Knowledge Base article? It has some really great troubleshooting information in there that may help with your images issue.

You might also try starting Firefox in Diagnose Firefox issues using Troubleshoot Mode. If you don't have the issue while all of your add-ons, extensions, and themes are disabled, you can try adding them back in one by one until you find the culprit. You should look at the Extensions and Themes troubleshooting guide and the Troubleshoot issues with plugins like Flash or Java to fix common Firefox problems article as well.

Hopefully this helps!

Make sure that you allow pages to choose their colors and that you haven't enabled High Contrast in the Accessibility settings.

  • Tools > Options > Content : Fonts & Colors > Colors : [X] "Allow pages to choose their own colors, instead of my selections above"
