Clicking a sub folder in the bookmarks toolbar only list the contents as long as the left mouse button is pressed. Releasing the mouse selects whatever bookmark was highlighted. Without using keyboard what About:config entry controls this behavior. I want to display the list and let go of the mouse and click again to select the one I want. also where do I find the definitions for the about:config entries. Like what does UI.scrollToClick boolean do?

Hi,

Please see this.

about:config Entries

If the bookmarks toolbar is visible, usually you can also click-once on a folder and immediately release the mouse button without keeping the button pressed, move the mouse pointer through all the entries in that and other folders without clicking again, and finally click on the desired entry. Thank You for your answer on the first two parts. Please reread my problem. Your third part answer is what I said it will not do. I can NOT release the mouse left button without the selection closing.

Does this happen in other programs, eg. notepad. If so it could be a hardware problem. If the problem is limited to Firefox please also check in a new profile. You may also want to Disable the Plugins and any Extensions in Tools (Alt + T) > Add-ons. If the new profile is okay, you can later copy the needed personal data from the old profile and start using the new profile. You can then delete or troubleshoot the old profile. Firefox stores your personal data and settings in another location (profile folder) separate from its folders/files. A new profile would have the default Firefox settings in Tools (Alt + T) > Options and about:config, and usually would also be empty of Extensions and themes (Appearance) in Tools > Add-ons, and their settings. Also, a new profile would have no previous stored website cache/cookies/data/preferences: Tools > Clear Recent History.

I notice it comes and goes. Last thing I remember is updates to add-ons. I'll get back, Thanks!
