Tools-Options-Privacy screen is very different on my 2 Windows 7 machines, both running 14.0.1. Also, one machine will consistently restart me with iGoogle and Gmail screens logged in. The other machine requires manual login at each restart. I see no reason why the 2 installations should not behave the same. Thanks in advance.

Are you allowing those sites to set persistent cookies on both computers?

On one Privacy screen, cookies are accepted. The other Privacy screen doesn't even have any selections related to cookies.

Likely solution! On Privacy screen, the 'Firefox will:' box needs to be set to 'Use custom settings...' in order to make several other selections visible, including the ones related to cookies. My issues appear to be resolved. Thanks for your interest.
