Why when I try to print a web page does it only offer to save the page and then not save it?

Untill two days ago web pages printed fine for me, now I'm only given the option to save the print job as an .XPS file - and then doesn't save it. If I cancel, it tells me there was an unknown printer failure but the printer tests out just fine.

hello sofg777, when you're at a page you want to print try to press ctrl+P and select a different printer than the Microsoft XPS Document Writer which seems to be set as your default printer in firefox at the moment.
