Firefox is very slow with media (especially on tumblr) and loading in general. I can't open more than two tabs without it going "stopped responding".

I normally get "stopped responding" every time I load a page. Or if I decide to open a new tab and load a page, then it will also get that lag. I will also get the "warning nonresponsive script" popup as well.

I've already tried to increase the script time. I've also tried firefox in safe mode as well and I still get slowness and 'stop responding'. I also resetted firefox and it was fast at first but it's been a few days and it's slow again.

The Reset Firefox feature can fix many issues by restoring Firefox to its factory default state while saving your essential information. Note: This will cause you to lose any Extensions, Open websites, and some Preferences.

To Reset Firefox do the following:

  1. Go to Firefox > Help > Troubleshooting Information.
  2. Click the "Reset Firefox" button.
  3. Firefox will close and reset. After Firefox is done, it will show a window with the information that is imported. Click Finish.
  4. Firefox will open with all factory defaults applied.

Further information can be found in the Refresh Firefox - reset add-ons and settings article.
