How do I remove Snap do search? It comes on everytime I try to use your browser?
I downloaded a program and I made sure the check boxes asking to install addons were disabled. Next thing I know I had a snap do toolbar on my firefox home page. I went to control panel and uninstalled the toolbar. now when I try to use firefox i get the snap do search page come on.

Hey guys!
We worked with the snap.do folks to be sure their addon was respecting our addon policies. If you remove the addon by going to tools->addons it should be a clean uninstall. If not, please post some details so we can investigate. Details always help!

If your computer has been attacked by search.snap.do hijacker then what you should do it follow some manual steps. I can tell you that only running anti-virus application will not help you at all. Manual removal works in the majority of the cases. This is what you should do: 1. Check the Local Area Network (LAN) settings of your system 2. Check whether DNS settings have been changed by Redirect Virus 3. Check your Windows HOSTS file contents 4. Check Internet Explorer add-ons. Get rid of unknown or suspicious add-ons contained there 5. Use Kaspersky TDSSKiller (TDSS Killer) application to get rid of malware belonging to the clan of Rootkit.Win32.TDSS 6. Scan your system with decent anti-virus program and malware killer 7. Consider using CCleaner to delete unwanted system/temp files and browser cache 8. The last but not the least, reset your Router back to the factory default settings More information on how to do it can be found here
