How can I stop the browser window from maximizing and reverting to normal size without any user input?

The firefox browser window will maximize and then resize to regular size at seemingly random times. It happens if I'm clicking within the browser window or not, and sometimes I'm only moving the mouse around screen.

Try to disable hardware acceleration in Firefox.
