After frequently accessing Coursera.org, I can no longer access the web site with using Firefox. What can I do to reestablish access to Coursera.org?

After entering the url address (Coursera.org), the browser cycles indefinitely. It seems to be the only web site with this problem. I've made no changes to the Firefox browser except to reopen it with default settings. Can you confirm that there is no problem with the Coursera web site? If so, what can I do to reestablish connection with Coursera ?

Hello MEPreston, in my pc works fine, if you have NoScript add-on allow it from there, also many site issues can be caused by corrupt cookies or cache. In order to try to fix these problems, the first step is to clear both cookies and the cache. Note: This will temporarily log you out of all sites you're logged in to. To clear cache and cookies do the following:

  1. Go to Firefox > History > Clear recent history or (if no Firefox button is shown) go to Tools > Clear recent history.
  2. Under "Time range to clear", select "Everything".
  3. Now, click the arrow next to Details to toggle the Details list active.
  4. From the details list, check Cache and Cookies and uncheck everything else.
  5. Now click the Clear now button.

I can access the public site. I note that it requires javascript to be enabled, although that should be a default setting.

Try reloading using Ctrl+ F5, that reloads without using your browser's cache, also try clearing the cookies for that site.

You can remove all stored data from a specific domain via "Forget About This Site" in the right-click context menu of an history entry (Show All History or History sidebar) or via the about:permissions page.

Using "Forget About This Site" will remove everything like bookmarks, cookies, passwords, cache, history, and exceptions from that domain, so be cautious and if you have a password or other data from that domain that you do not want to lose then make a note of those passwords and bookmarks. You can't recover from that "forget" unless you have a backup of the affected files.

It doesn't have any lasting effect, so if you revisit such a 'forgotten' website then data from that website will be saved once again.
