My laptop runs Vista 32 bit and I have java installed. My default browser is Firefox v22. After I install Blackberry Link (a synchronization PC software for Blackberry 10 smartphones), when I open Firefox, no web page can be opened (blank pages after a while). I uninstall Blackberry Link, Firefox works again.

With Blackberry Link installed, I opened Google Chrome and have no issues opening web pages. I do not want to use Chrome though.

There is some sort of incompatibility between Firefox and BB Link.

Thanks

Does Blackberry Link install any add-ons into Firefox? You can check here:

orange Firefox button (or Tools menu) > Add-ons > Plugins category
orange Firefox button (or Tools menu) > Add-ons > Extensions category

Also, does Blackberry Link create any Windows network connections? To make sure Firefox isn't randomly choosing dysfunctional networks, check your proxy setting here:

orange Firefox button (or Tools menu) > Options > Advanced > Network > "Settings" button

If you have Auto-detect, try either No Proxy or Use system proxy settings.

Thank you very much for looking into my compatibility issue with BB Link and FF

I check on Firefox Add-ons Plugins category and Extensions category, and BB Link did not install any add ons into Firefox.

I also check the Options Advanced Network Settings and currently I have No Proxy when I ran into this issue with BB Link.

Thanks again.
