it might also be that the webmail site you're using has implemented the contacts suggestion as a feature on their site - in this case you'd have to contact your mail provider's support to inquire if it's possible to switch that off or remove individual entries...

Go to your e-mail web site. Access your address book. Then remove anything that you want.

Use these steps to remove saved (form) data from a drop-down list:

  1. click the (empty) input field on the web page to open the drop-down list
  2. highlight an entry in the drop-down list
  3. press the Delete key (on Mac: Shift+Delete) to remove it.
