When trying to save an image from a web page using FF27, I'm not able to get this to work using the option on the right click context menu. This is a very recent change. Problem occurs on both a desktop and laptop running Win 7.

I've searched using Google with no help found. There is a way to save the image if I use the Image Info option on the context menu so something is amiss.

There must have been some change in FF27 or 27.01 as the problem addon was one I've used for a very long time. Addon is PhotoMe which is a program and there is an option to also install as an addon.

Disappointedly, I removed it from both PCs and Firefox will now Save Image using the context menu.

Thanks again for your help.

Hi RonC,

I am actually using Windows 7 and Firefox 27 at the moment. It works for me, as expected.

  • Are you sure it is not saving the image ?
    • What happens or does not happen ?
Do you get the location picker dialogue ?
What about the green download arrowhead ?
      Any error messages ?
Have you looked for any downloaded files ?

Try on this site can you for instance save the avatar/Icon of users on the forum ? Tried your avatar and no luck.
Do other downloads work ok ? File downloads go fine - green arrow etc.

In SafeMode, I am able to save image so I just reset my laptop version and will systematically reinstall the Extensions. I guess I need to watch updates of Extensions.

I noticed when Googling for help, that an addon called Image Save Toolbar had the same problem with FF27 as did. It has never been installed on either of mine.

Thanks for help.
