Thunderbird won't send messages to me when I send a cc to myself. How do I fix this?

When I cc myself on a message to someone else, Thunderbird won't send me the cc. I get the cc when I use other email clients.

It works for me, except in cases where the email provider decides that such CC's are superfluous, since "the copy in your Sent folder is all you need, isn't it?"

I don't think there's any general ban in Thunderbird on self-CC's and if so, I don't know how to provoke it. OTOH, gmail automatically suppress such things.
