I am trying to restore mozilla Bookmarks using json file but I want that my old bookmarks should not get deleted from mozilla. Is there any way to save the old bookmarks while restoring with new bookmarks. I want to use only JSON file no HTML file.

You can't merge bookmarks when using a JSON backup.
Restoring a JSON backup will always replace all current bookmarks.
Maybe you can use Sync to store the current bookmarks and merge them that way after having restored the JSON backup.

You can use a second profile to restore the JSON backup and copy and paste the restored bookmarks from the Library of one profile to the Library of the other profile.
Both Firefox instances need to be open at the same time, so use the -no-remote command line switch to start the second profile.

You can't copy/preserve tags and other annotations when copying and pasting bookmarks, so there is not much benefit over using an HTML backup if you need to keep tags.
