Firefox 29.0.1 seems incompatible with Hotmail on my mac
I can see the email in hotmail but can't access any message and not all the hotmail headers like new show anymore. I can read my email fine with Safari

please can you test if safe mode solve your problem ? https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/troubleshoot-firefox-issues-using-safe-mode
Now it works. I haven't actively done add ons but do use flash player
