thunderbird is not removing emails from ISP server

Thunderbird is leaving my emails on my Optus ISP server, they are being marked as read and left there.

And the setting in Thunderbird to leave copies on the server is not set?

Tools|Account Settings|<select account>|Server Settings

Pop or IMAP mail account
