How to separate the menu bar from theme background?

more options

Ok so I updated to firefox 29 and installed classic theme restorer as well. The problem is that the menu bar is included in my theme, it used to be a black menu bar on top and my theme below it, so now every time I accidentally click on anywhere above my tabs, firefox minimizes. This happens frequently since I'm using a laptop touch pad. A temporary solution I've found is to turn off my theme and then I get a white background and black bar on top, but I'd like to keep my themes. Is there a way to change the menu bar back?

Is this a difference between Windows 8 and earlier versions? In earlier versions, you would double-click the title bar area to switch between maximized and normal resizeable windows. Single-clicks in the blank area don't do anything.

It might be difficult to duplicate what you have, but in case someone can try it, which theme is it? Can you post a link to it?

When I'm purposefully trying to minimize or maximize the window it is a double-click. But somehow when I'm dragging my mouse to change between tabs and it lands on the blank area, it minimizes. Basically the blank area became an extension of the title bar when I upgraded to firefox 29, which is what I don't want.

Here's a link to the theme I'm using if you think it'll help. https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/bleach-full-moon/

I found out accidentally today that double-clicking between tabs also minimizes windows. There is no gap between tabs, so I don't really know why that's happening.

Hmm, you're right, there shouldn't be a space between tabs.

Although double-clicking the tab bar will maximize/restore a window for me, I can't replicate the single-click problem on Windows 7 (basic theme).

I wonder whether there is a new gesture that is coming into play when you are sliding the mouse pointer?
