Hello Amol, Due to traffic it may happen. But if you are getting this problem frequently then, please reinstall firefox.

I am also using firefox on windows 8.1 but, have not encountered this problem.

Hope you the best.

Regards, Deepak

Hi Deepak, After reinstall again I'm facing connecting...waiting for.... and problem loading page.Even internet explorer cannot open these sites.

Does anything in this support article help: Firefox and other browsers can't load websites?

If these sites worked normally in Firefox until recently, a good "first thing to try" is clearing your Firefox cache and deleting your saved cookies for the site.

(1) Bypass Firefox's Cache

Use Ctrl+Shift+r to reload the page fresh from the server.

Alternately, you also can clear Firefox's cache completely using:

  • (Fx28) orange Firefox button (or Tools menu) > Options > Advanced
  • (Fx29) "3-bar" menu button (or Tools menu) > Options > Advanced

On the Network mini-tab > Cached Web Content : "Clear Now"

If you have a large hard drive, this might take a few minutes.

(2) Remove the site's cookies (save any pending work first). While viewing a page on the site, try either:

  • right-click and choose View Page Info > Security > "View Cookies"
  • Alt+t (open the classic Tools menu) > Page Info > Security > "View Cookies"

In the dialog that opens, you can remove the site's cookies individually.

If you cannot load any page on the site, open the dialog on this site, then edit the domain in the box at the top to google.co.in (or other applicable site) and remove its cookies.

Then try reloading the page. Does that help?

By the way, if you try this URL (where I am redirected), can you load it, or same problem? https://www.google.co.in/

No problem here.

Some problems occurs when your Internet security program was set to trust the previous version of Firefox, but no longer recognizes your updated version as trusted. Now how to fix the problem: To allow Firefox to connect to the Internet again;

  • Make sure your Internet security software is up-to-date (i.e. you are running the latest version)
  • Remove Firefox from your program's list of trusted or recognized programs, then add it back. For detailed instructions, see

Configure firewalls so that Firefox can access the Internet. {web link}

Hi FredMcD, I have configured windows firewall as you said but not working :(

@jscher2000, unable to load URL that you have given https://www.google.co.in/ same problem. somebody please help me....

@jscher2000 Mozilla Firefox does connect to internet but not opening Google sites.Yahoo,and MSN works fine.

Guys I think the problem is external.Even Internet Explorer cannot open these sites but yahoo,msn works fine

Try restarting Windows in safe mode wit Networking enabled and see if you can access those sites or not.

If problem still occurs then try resetting your router if you have one.

Its possible that your modem, or your provider, is using a firewall. It's also possible that the government has blocks in place. Where are you located? Not the street address please.

@FreadMcd I live in India and here's absolutely no ban on google :) Like I said google sites and all other sites works on my Linux.But why not on windows?

I think the last option is to reinstall the OS...

Before reinstalling, you should try a Windows support forum. Maybe it's just some entries in your hosts file?

Hi Anmol, As I see the Problem thread You faced problems on site with Windows 8.1 . S0o I want some clarification here like 1)From when you have face this problem(is the problems Starts as you start using firefox or after using 1-2 times the sites)? 2nd) as jscher200 said "Clear Cache and Cookies" is works or not?

If not i think these websites are not working and might be block ,so you can unblock them as given in this tutorial: http://www.wikihow.com/Block-a-Specific-Website-Without-Software

Reply whether it works or not
