Switching proxy on and off and loosing saved passwords and user details
I have firefox 30.0 and have noticed a few issues after upgrading.
I use a proxy in work and when im at home i switch the proxy off. However it seems when I switch between the two (unless it is something else) Firefox seems to loose and saved settings, profiles, login details etc.
For example when I go to google it normally remembers me or if not when I go to sign in it has the fields already filled in. But when I switch from proxy to no proxy and restart the browser and revisit those pages I have to manually log back into each site as it doesn't remember me.
If I stay on (or off) the proxy and close and reopen Firefox and revisit the page it still remembers me. So for me it seems to be an issue when i switch proxies in that Firefox seems to reset any saved passwords, login details.
Has anyone any ideas as to what could be the issue?
thanks

It is not guaranteed that cookies that make a website remember you are still valid when you change the connection setting by switching the proxy on/off, so it is quite possible that you need to login once again.
