Why can I no longer print shipping labes from some sites that used to print?

For several years I was able to print postage paid labels for ETSY and BOOKSWAP from Firefox. I could also print customs forms with shipping from Ebay to countries including Russia and Italy. Now they will not print - but I get charged for them.

Is there a remedy? If so, what is it? I can't keep losing $ on shipping fees. Thanks.

Hi Carolyn, I am not personally familiar with how those sites work. Are the labels generated as PDFs? Often if there is a 2D-barcode, PDF is the preferred format.

What you might try is switching your PDF viewer from the built-in viewer to the Adobe Acrobat viewer or you could open it externally in Adobe Reader if you prefer. These articles describe how to change that setting:

I noticed that your Adobe Acrobat plugin is a very old version. For security reasons, as well as improved compatibility with newer PDF formats, you should strongly consider updating to Adobe Reader XI (11). You can download that here:
