If Comcast/Xfinity is listed in the Options dialog, then you just need the steps in this article: Change the program used to open email links.

If it is not listed there... it depends.

According to an old post on Comcast's forums, when you go to your mailbox (in this case it was an XFINITY Connect mailbox) you may get a push-down infobar below the toolbar area offering the opportunity to add Comcast/Xfinity as a mailto application.

If that doesn't happen, then unfortunately, you may need to use a manual method. Without specific information from Comcast, this will require several steps and a little experimentation.

The first step is to figure out the link Firefox will need to use to compose the message. One possible way to determine this is to click the link to compose a new message to someone in your Comcast address book and see what link that generates in the address bar. If there is no immediate change in the address bar, try right-clicking and choosing to start the message in a new tab.

If you can find a useful link, we can then describe the steps to add that to Firefox to see whether it works.
