I have smartcard having private certificate generated onboard inside smartcard itself. However, the moment I insert my smartcard I see very strange behaviour.

Hi mphasis_20, The certificate not showing up correctly in the UI is a bug, I would recommend filing a bug with details here: bugzilla.mozilla.org in the Security:Ui component of Firefox Core. MDN: Bug Writing Guidelines
