tbird crashes everytime I login following an error box that emails failed to write to folder. safe mode & compacting did not fix the problem.

Thanks for the suggestion. I did try starting windows in safemode and running Tbird in safemode in that setting and still had the program crash.

I had a filter setup to move emails into the folder that seemed to be causing all the problems. I removed that filter so no new emails were sent into the folder and that seems to be making everything happy. The folder was saved on the local disk so there should not have been a memory problem but I don't know.

Tbird is not crashing constantly now but I'm not sure if I solved the problem or just bypassed it?
