FireFox will not load google, facebook or youtube
I am having this issue on my iMac and my MacBook Pro 'I have followed all the trouble shooting suggestions online - they do not work.
FireFox is having serious issues trying to connect to any Google site, FaceBook and YouTube? Occasionally I see issues when trying to connect to a site that is using some kind of Google JS as well. The site either tries to load and hangs - or just does noting? I get a lot of "Waiting for ...." in the lower left corner.
This is specific to FireFox because Safari has absolutely no issues. This has been an issue for over a week or so now and has totally shut me down form using FireFox!
By the way - while trying to load the Troubleshooting Information for this ticket - I get the same issue - but this time - it's actually tells me "Can't connect to server"?

This issue went away for a couple of months, but it is now back again and worse than before?
I don't understand why all other browsers are working fine - but FF takes over 30-60 seconds to load Google's home page - if it loads at all.
Oh - and BTW thanks for the speedy response to my original post (not!).
Try to disable IPv6 (check for other possible causes as well).
Please update to the current Firefox 36 release.

The Firefox version that you currently run is no longer supported with security updates.
- It is important to update Firefox and add-ons to the latest version to get all security fixes.
If there are problems with updating or with the permissions then best is to download the full version and trash the currently installed version to do a clean install of the new version.
Download a new copy of the Firefox application and save the disk image file to the desktop
- Firefox 36.0: https://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/all/
- Trash the current Firefox application (open the Applications folder in the Finder and drag the Firefox application to the Trash) to do a clean (re)install
- Install the new version that you have downloaded
