When I tried to open a link to my Verizon account in an email bill nothing happened. I had the same problem with other email and desktop links. In order to get the links to work I first have to open Firefox. This has never happened before. For years Firefox has opened links without a problem. When I change the default browser to IE the links work.

What program are you opening the links from? Is there a default program associated with http/https in your Control Panel Settings?

Firefox has a configuration that controls what it does with links from third party called browser.link.open_newwindow.override.external refer to: http://kb.mozillazine.org/Browser.link.open_newwindow.restrict... Did this change?
