Master password doesn't store the password permanently and doesn't work correctly in Windows 8.1?
I have set the master password but, when I close the browser, passwords disappear and I have to put them again (basically, it looks that master password service it woks anytime at only one session of the browser; that is to say, before I close the browser).
Probably the reason was due to the fact that I set the browser for surfing anonimously. But now I have allowed the browser for keeping the whole history, cookies, etc. and still it happens the problem described above. Also, each time I open the browser and I go for an email account or a social network account, it doesn't appear automatically the masterpassword form. I have to specify that I am using Windows 8.1. Instead, using master password from another computer which has Windows 7, it works perfectly (it stores the passwords and it ask the master password for using the other passwords each time I open the browser and even if I delete the history).
In your opinion is it a problem of firefox in Windows 8.1 or should I look further in my browser settings in order to solve the issue?

If you are using sync, master passwords set will not passwords sync.
Are there any other password managers that are installed in the Firefox profile?
- How do I turn on sync logs:
- Open about:config and turn on: services.sync.log.appender.file.logOnSuccess and services.sync.log.logger.engine.bookmarks
- Restart Firefox and look at: about:sync-log
- Logs and error messages will be located here
Please also use pastebin.mozilla.org for sharring any errors that relate to this issue.
Thank you.
A detail like websites remembering you (log you in automatically) is stored in a cookie.
- Create a cookie 'allow' exception to keep such cookies, especially in case of secure websites and when cookies expire when you close Firefox.
- Tools > Options > Privacy > "Use custom settings for history" > Cookies: Exceptions
If this cookie is removed then you will have to log in again.
In PB mode all cookies are session cookies that expire automatically when you end the PB mode session (i.e. close all PB mode windows) or close Firefox.
