I share my computer at work and when asked to create a sync account it says someone already has one and by creating my account, it will sync with the other account information. I do not want this. I just want to backup my saved usernames/passwords so when I get my own computer I can import them rather than recreate them all.

I recall there used to be an import/export option in older versions of FF but I don't see that option now. I'm currently using version 39.0

Please advise. Thanks,

You're using a shared computer and other people have access to your passwords that are saved in Firefox? Having your passwords saved on a slip of paper would be more "secure" than that.

See this - https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/password-exporter/ - for an add-on that will allow you to export your passwords and allow you to install then into Firefox on another PC. That extension need to be installed on both PC's.
