When visiting certain sites Firefox records the number of visits made. This can be viewed by clicking the greyed out globe in the address box. Page info is then displayed in a window. Under Privacy & History there is a heading "have I visited this web site before today" I would like to reset this data for all websites to zero, without the need to uninstall Firefox and associated data.

I'm pretty sure that information is calculated from your browsing history. You can clear your browsing and download history (they're linked) using the steps in this article: Delete browsing, search and download history on Firefox.

Please be cautious not to delete useful information like Site Preferences (site-specific popup blocking exceptions, cookie allow/block rules, etc.) when clearing your browsing history.

I'm not aware of a way to force those counters to stay at 0 without removing history.
