Hi,

This just started a couple days ago and it's driving me crazy! I perform a google search (or any other search) and scroll down the list of results. I click on one result, then use the back button to return to the google results. Instead of taking me back to the position I was at on the results page (e.g. halfway down), I am taken to the top of the page and have to scroll down again to get to where I was.

I have searched and found that this has been a bug at different points in the last 10 years or so--with different fixes. I do know that I can open results in a new tab, but I don't want to do this. I want it to work the way it should and has always had before. Help! Thanks!!!

I think this has to do with cookies. Cache, no -cache. What are the history settings for your Firefox profile?

I bypass this by right clicking whatever, and selecting Open New Tab/Window. Once I am done, I close the other tabs/windows.

Hi,

Thanks- Cleared the cache and history already- no help. As I mentioned, when I've done a search for 'scroll position not remembered' or similar, it appears that this has been a bug with previous versions (now fixed).

Also, I do not want to open a new tab every time I want to click on a link and not lose my position- what a pain! If I can't this sorted, will have to start using another browser. Sad, as I've used firefox for years and have really liked it.

Anyone else got any ideas?

Thanks!

Interclue {web link} Ever wanted to know what was behind the link before you clicked? Interclue tells you everything you need to know before you open yet another tab.
