Suddenly, I am unable to post to 4chan. The error I'm getting is that the connection is untrusted.

If I open the Technical Details, the error code is "sec_error_cert_signature_algorithm_disabled". None of the solutions in the certificate FAQ cover this error code.

I've run my anti-virus (Avast) and MalwareBytes, neither turned up anything and the problem persists.

I have created a new profile, and the issue persists. Now, however, it at least gives me the option to add an exception. Previously that was not a possibility.

Edit: I fixed the issue. The problem was caused by Avast's Web Shield HTTPS Scanning. Turning that off solved the problem.

Hello, any luck if you delete the user.js file in your profile folder ?

The user.js file does not exist by default. If you create the file, forget it, if you have not create the file then delete the User.js file, to see if the problem goes away (some programs create and write in the file also).

thank you

There are other things that need attention.

Your System Details List shows multiple Flash plugins.

  • Shockwave Flash 16.0 r0
  • Shockwave Flash 20.0 r0

You can find the installation path of all plugins on the about:plugins page.

You can check the Flash player installation folder for multiple Flash player plugins and remove older version(s) of the plugin (NPSWF32) and possibly (re)install the latest Flash player.

  • (32 bit Windows) C:\Windows\System32\Macromed\Flash\
  • (64 bit Windows) C:\Windows\SysWOW64\Macromed\Flash\
