Hi lilabit Sorry you are having problems. I am not sure if I understand correctly what you are asking, but I have tried to answer, and you can give more information by replying to this answer and saying more about your problem.
This is a support site for Firefox, a web browser. We would prefer you to use Firefox to Google Chrome - an alternative browser. You can not import Google Chrome to Firefox
You can import your Google Chrome favourites into Firefox or your Firefox bookmarks may be exported to Google Chrome.

- Import bookmarks and other data from Google Chrome <- clickable link
Is that what you are trying to do ? - Export Firefox bookmarks to an HTML file to back up or transfer bookmarks
If you re trying to use Firefox and having problems with it please let us know more so that we may try to help you.
Hi John99
I installed Firebox and wanted to import all my bookmarks from other browsers I used like Google Chrome and IE9. I'm sorry that I did not make it clear that I was importing my bookmarks from Google Chrome to Firebox and used the import wizard tool to do that and it seemed to be working. However, after, I clicked on the Google Chrome icon in the toolbar and instead of showing all my bookmarks, it showed "empty". Is it stored some where else? Thank you for your help.
Hi John99
I just realized that I misspelled Firefox in my response...please disregard Firebox........ so sorry.
Hey don't worry about typos, my replies are often full of them.
Those instructions mention that the toolbar in Google Chrome is the default location. Is that actually where yours are ? Try opening Google Chrome and checking. Can you actually find your Google Chrome bookmarks you may just not have any.
I suppose you could always try the transfer the other way round and export the Google bookmarks see their instructions
Note that the file exported is an .HTML type. Those files will usually open with some Word Processors and with Firefox. That means you will be able to examine the file and see roughly what it contains.Check it does contains bookmarks. Then import it into Firefox.
Went back to Google chrome, and all my bookmarks are still there. I did the importing of my bookmarks from IE to Firefox and once imported puts a file icon "From IE". Just like it did for" From Google Chrome", except that a click on "From IE" showed the favorites from my IE toolbar, whereas the "From Google Chrome" in Firefox would indicate that my bookmarks were imported, but apparently not as it is empty! See the picture in the wizard what is suppose to look like when you click the from icon: https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/import-bookmarks-google-chrome I will try it as you said exporting from google. Thanks!
