How do I get tasks to appear in the today pane? They used to appear at the bottom of the today pane but no longer. Will a task appear when it comes due?

My "Today" pane has two buttons that let me rotate between three views:

  1. Events
  2. Tasks
  3. Events & Tasks

Whilst I have no use for tasks, those I have set up as an experiment appear when the appropriate view is selected.
