How do I add an address to a blocked list messsage filter for senders?
I have set up a "Blocked address" message filter and it contains one address. I now want to add additional addresses. I have tried right clicking on the new address and then selecting "Create Filter From.." When I get to the "Filter Rules" file whatever I try to add the new address doesn't work. Help please. Thanks.

You could set it up as: From contains xyz@uvw.net /EDIT new line : From contains next@address And set filter to match any of the following EDIT\
Or if you want to add a lot of addresses
From is in my address-book : blocked-addresses
And you add every address you want to block to that address-book

Thanks for your response. I will give your suggestions a try. I am a rookie at this so we will see what happens :-)
Hi,
I too have a similar issue.
I followed the advice you gave and created a list of email addresses in my address book named “Blocked email addresses”, but I am perplexed as to how to refer to this list in creating rules for a filter. The choices within the “Filter Rules” window (i.e. “From, To, Cc, Bcc”; “contains” and a “blank field”) does not appear to give me an option to refer to the list (i.e. “Blocked email addresses”) of these addresses, but rather particulars of emails.
Your advice would be appreciated
No need to respond. I found the answer to my problem. The drop down boxes in the “Filter Rules” window do give me options for "from" - "is in my address book" and the name of the list of blocked email addresses I created.
The instructions for Blocking a Sender are terrible and do not work! I right click an email address in my SPAMFIGHTER folder and created BLOCK EMAILS in Filter Rules. I set actions to "Delete Message" and selected "Match any of the following". BLOCK EMAILS is now in my Filter Rules and it contains the email address I had selected. When I right click another email address from the SPAMFIGHTER folder and click the "+" the email address does not go into the BLOCK EMAILS folder but instead is listed as a separate email address in the Filter rules window.
I don't fully understand what you are doing
First create a new Address-book lets call it SPAM
Then create a filter- SPAMFILTER with just one argument: From, Is in my Address-Book:, SPAM with action Delete
Set to run on all new mail
In your Address-Book: SPAM, you then collect all addresses you want to run your filter on.
THATS ALL
A folder is not the same as an address-book so if you have a folder were you collect SPAM-mails You need to create a lot of lines in your filter. And "create filter from" a marked address will always create a new filter.
