My Firefox work very slowly with YouTube.
My laptop: Compaq Presario CQ62 Intel Celeron 900 processor Intel GMA 4500
In google chrome youtube work slowly on 720p but fine below. In Firefox all resolutions run very slowly.

Install the latest drivers. But video run slowly anyway.
then please also try to refresh firefox and see if this can address the issue...
