everytime i go onto gmail, firefox crashes. i have disabled all add-ons. I love firefox, however Gmail is the only website i access on this computer and will be forced to use a different browser if crashes continue.

I assume you found that address in an "Unresponsive Script" warning dialog. Does it make any difference whether you Continue or Stop the script? (No point using Debug...).

Note: if Firefox crashes in the sense that all windows close and the Mozilla Crash Reporter form is displayed, please check the support article "Firefox crashes - asking for support" for steps to get the most recent few crash report IDs from the about:crashes page, and then post the codes in a reply.

That "resource" URL is reminiscent of problems reported with the Skype Click-to-call extension. You could disable that extension individually on the Add-ons page (Ctrl+Shift+a, then click Extensions in the left column), or try Firefox's Safe Mode, which temporarily deactivates ALL extensions, hardware acceleration, and some other advanced features of Firefox that might make it more prone to crashing on some systems.

If Firefox is not running: Hold down the Shift key when starting Firefox.

If Firefox is running: You can restart Firefox in Safe Mode using either:

  • "3-bar" menu button > "?" button > Restart with Add-ons Disabled
  • Help menu > Restart with Add-ons Disabled

and OK the restart.

Both scenarios: A small dialog should appear. Click "Start in Safe Mode" (not Refresh).

Any difference?
