When I go to my bookmarks (opening as a separate window) and choose the relevant link it opens the page fine. When I click on the video to play it however it doesn't do anything. Sometimes it opens another bookmark, almost like I'm clicking on the list of bookmarks instead even though I'm in the browser window, not the bookmarks list. If I close the bookmarks window, I can play the video as normal. Hopefully this makes sense - not sure I've explained it very well.

Please post a public link we can check out.

Try going to that page manually, without the bookmark.

Is this about opening a link from the Bookmarks Manager (Library)?

Does this also happen if you open the link from the "Show your bookmarks" drop-down list (button next to the star on the Navigation Toolbar) or from the bookmarks sidebar?

Start Firefox in Safe Mode to check if one of the extensions ("3-bar" menu button or Tools > Add-ons > Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem.

  • Switch to the DEFAULT theme: "3-bar" menu button or Tools > Add-ons > Appearance
  • Do NOT click the "Refresh Firefox" button on the Safe Mode start window

Sorry, this is very difficult to explain. I open the page from the 'show all bookmarks' drop down and then I can't open the video. However, I've found that if I minimise the bookmarks window then I can use the page fine. I have noticed there is a problem when trying to use the slider in spotify and also clicking on the 'x' to close a window so I'm wondering if it's a mouse issue. It had only been a problem using Firefox before today as I'd had no issues using another browser. I've tried what you suggested above and it's had no improvement on the problem.
