HI Matt, OK. I had a look in the mbox file in such a message and it shows: From: thomasbraun@nowmail.de but in Thunderbird it shows: From: N: and when you go with the mouse on the "From:" field, you have a field popping up containing the correct information (like shown above).

I have looked in the Thunderbird adress book and there it is: while importing the .mox file Thunderbird has created in its adress book a name "N:" containing the correct email adress in the field "Email".

How can I import the archived adressbook (this exists also from the Gmail archive in another file) and overwrite the current settings in the adress book?

Thanks for your help Christian
