I want my Firefox bookmarks to be synced with my Internet Explorer favorites. I imported my Internet Explorer Favorites to Firefox, but it's in a separate folder. Why can't I just sync all the bookmarks and favorites to be "In Sync" with each other instead of being in separate bookmark folders?

IE Favorites that are imported when you first install Firefox or when you use the Library > Import and Backup menu item always end up in their own separate folder named From Internet Explorer.

When you export the IE Favorites in bookmarks.htm format from the IE File > Import & Export menu item to a USB Flash Stick, and then import that file into Firefox thru the Library window (from the Show All Bookmarks menu item) > Import and Backup -> Import HTML --> from HTML file - those bookmarks are merged with the existing Firefox bookmarks, they're not in that separate folder.

At least that is how it worked the last time I did it that way back in the days of WinXP. But I haven't gotten any negative feedback here that it doesn't work now. YMMV
