I hate tabs. I detest tabs. I abhor tabs. I know I can drag a tab out of a window to create a new window; but why should I have to. Why can't a new link always open in a new window in the first place, rather than a new tab?

You can right-click the link and select Open In New Window.

Type about:preferences#general<enter> in the address bar. Under Tabs, unmark Open new windows in a new tab instead.
