Firefox 48 Kubuntu 16.04.1

Every time I start Firefox sync is not connected. I then have to connect, respond to a confirmation email and all is well. Until next time.

I also have the Firefox Dev (50.0a2) installed with its own profile. This is doing the same thing.

Make sure the warning to verify the account goes away in the three bar menu next to the name of your Firefox account before closing Firefox.

Second, when you are logged out, do you save cookies or are they all removed when you quit Firefox? (Check your history settings)

1. I always log back in and close while it's working. 2. Not sure how to find out.

Thanks

History settings are set to "remember history" Also, it seems the regular and dev versions are independently not working. Regular version is logged off and Dev is working fine.

seedsca, thank you for your response. Can you please clarify what is not working in Release and is working in Dev, are we still talking about being logged in when you restart Firefox?

When you say independently, are they two different Sync accounts with the same history settings?

If they are on the same account, and one is working and the other is not, are you syncing "Preferences"? If yes, please disconnect the account where it does not stay logged in, and sign in one more time. This will let the settings sync across both.

If it is the same profile in two different installations of Firefox check if the verify warning is present in the dev edition and click on it to verify and wait for that error to go away.

Please clarify the current behavior after the troubleshooting steps. Thank you.

1. Yes. What I meant is that Dev and Release do not have to be logged off at the same time. Sometimes one is syncing and the other not.

2. All on the same Sync account. Different profiles on my computer.

It looks as though it's working, for now.

I'll post back in a bit if it starts up again.
